Holy Crap! Nice work! I’ve been waiting endlessly for an iPhone/iPad port of X-com and i stumbled upon your work. Can’t wait!
Just wanted to say thanks for doing this. I’ll keep myself updated and will send any ideas I can come up with – will also try and donate shortly. Wish I could help futher, but beta testing and bitching is all I’m qualified to do. X-Com remains a favorite of mine after all these years – will be fabulous to play it on iPad which is an excellent platform for it. Good luck and can’t wait! k

which is an open source xcom style game that is very mature now. There are also links to other attempts as well.
Perhaps you can use some of the AI code or similar? I have started to compile the project on my Mac,
which is not hard to do as you probbly know!

I been watching this website for along time. I am a big fan of xcom ufo defense. I remember the good old days when it wsa out for the ps1 and the loading for a stage was long, really long, where you had your ps1 at a 45 degree angle while it was loading. I was like 11 years old, I came home from school just to watch my older brother and cousins play it, until it was my turn which was late at night. I am now 24 and when i 1st bought my iphone, the 1st games i looked up was X-com, C&C, and fanal fantasy 1. I was really disappointed in C&C, FF1 was not the same, it was too easy. I watch and watch you website thinking of all the cool things you guys could do but as i kick back and watch I see my dreams come true. I want to thank you guys for all the time and effort you guys put into this game. It means alot to us true fans. I am currently deployed in the arm forces, and this is my morale. I tell all my friends that this game is going to make history, i talk alot about it. I took my wife down from my screen saver and added one of your fan arts to my background. When i get home I am going to donate what ever my wife allows me to.
I am a huge fan. I am sure the wait will be worth it, and to have a game like this in the palm of your hand is just incredible. No game that’s been made to be like ufo defense has came close, the orignal is best. From what i read and see, you guys are the next step in X-com.
