Sorry about the lack of updates over the last few weeks, but I’ve been on holiday in Spain with some other trips here and there too. I spent some time in London taking part in an interview (Thanks Ed for your hospitality) but otherwise had some time off to think about the direction on the project and I’m now all excited and ready to go!
Thanks for all the comments and the donations that came through while I was away – I’ll be responding to them over the next few days as I get settled in at home again.

Hey, I’ve been lurking on this site for a couple of months now, when will we see something available. I would really look forward to a turn-based strategy game on the iphone, and I really loved X-Com UFO Defense.
Will there be an Alpha/Beta test period? I can’t wait for this to be finalized!

The exact time for release is getting revised at the moment. It’s been a tough few weeks of scoping, re-scoping and more re-scoping. I’ve realised that the vehicle combat and some of the other parts of the single player campaign were a bit ambitious so I’m trying to find a design that makes everything work together but will actually see a release some time soon.
Things are just changing and or getting added or removed too rapidly for me to keep up with consistent updates so sorry about that.
UFO is my baseline though, so you’ll be getting at least that level of gameplay with some extra cool features that I really want to see in there.
I look forward to seeing more on this. I would be buying it on iPad and Mac OS X, so let me know if there’s any way I can help speed up development and get my hands on a good X-Com game!

While sitting here trying to decide on getting an iphone or HTC i needed to check if there was a UFO for each of them. Found yours for Iphone and i just want to say… You Rock! Just this site about making a UFO for iphone makes me want the Iphone far more then HTC.
