Keeping in the spirit of X-Com, the latest idea for the equip screen is going to be quite configurable. Moving items from various parts of the body will incur different amounts of time units to complete so there will be some strategy involved in carefully equiping your squad.
The ‘Ground’ or ‘Stores’ section on the right hand side of the screen is going to be a scrollable box full of the available weapons (just placeholders in there right now..) The scrolling container is going to appear in the next mini-app so it’d be great if everyone could try it out.
The equipment slots are unique to this game and I hope to be testing the viability of this configuration soon.

Just a concept right now, but it’s coming along. The screen size is quite limiting so careful thought has to be put into every bit of the interface.
Apart from that, most of the efforts have been put towards generic game elements like the scrolling view, new ways to get input from the user and lots of improvements to the underlying game engine. I’m also hoping to have some screenshots of the new mini app to show soon which is quite exciting. Like I said before, it’ll allow quick feedback of some of the game elements like the Hex grid, scrolling view, setting saving capabilities and more while still giving you a complete and fun little game to play.
